Founded in August 1994, Fabrication S. Houle started its operations in a farm building renovated to accommodate our needs. We started building land levellers, and at the time, we spent our time mainly on repairs and maintenance of agricultural machinery.

Himself the son of a farmer, President and owner Sylvain Houle understands the needs of his customers. He quickly developed and improved on designs of equipment such as land levellers, rock rakes, rock buckets and snow blades.
In 2000, our company’s efforts and investment in research and development earned us an award known locally as the “Élan”, for young entrepreneurs in Central Quebec, and in 2001, we were awarded gold in the Small Business category of the National Bank’s prestigious awards program for the Drummondville/Bois-Francs region. We also earned industrial merit awards in 2002 and 2005, as well as a Chamber of Commerce Napoleon Award in 2003.

During the same period, we gradually expanded our 2,500 sq. ft production facility, eventually reaching 15,000 sq. ft. - a clear indicator of our company’s increasing success and the growing demand for our technology.
On the morning of December 9th, 2003, the production facility was destroyed by fire.

One week later, operations were back on track in a rented hangar.

At the same time, plans to build a new facility were already being drawn.
On June 30th, 2004, just 6 months after the fire, Fabrication S. Houle moved into its new facility. Situated along the Jean Lesage Highway, our new home occupies 28,500 sq. ft and represents an investment of 3.5 million dollars.

Having overcome its setback, Fabrication S. Houle never wavered in their dedication to product development and improvement, constantly fostering progress at every level. Today, we possess a wide range of expertise; in addition to all of the production specialists, our team includes employees in engineering and design, as well as sales and customer service to meet our increasing customer base's every need. Our employees come to work in a spacious, comfortable facility equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including a high definition plasma cutting table, a CNC lathe and machining centre, cutting and bending machinery, welding and assembly lines and our own paint shop. Fabrication S. Houle's offering has expanded, over the years, to include snow blades and several types of agricultural equipment. In addition, we do specialized development and manufacturing jobs as a sub-contractor for various firms.

With the wind in its sails, and with the support of its network of representatives across Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Germany & Europe, Fabrication S. Houle’s future is very bright indeed.
